Bhubaneswar beat Cuttack again in twin city snooker series

Bhubaneswar overcame Cuttack 4-3 to win the second leg of the Twin City Snooker Challenger Series at Cue Sport Academy in Bhubaneswar today. The one-day team competition featured a series of seven matches between the two sides and each match was a best-of-three-frame affair. Each team included eight cueists, including one reserve. State champion Siddharth Sen, Jeet Kishore Das and Sourya Prasad Pattnaik won the three matches for Cuttack, while Ashan-ul Haque, Subrat Das, Rakesh Roshan Pradhan and Amit Lath posted victories for Bhubaneswar. Bhubaneswar had won the first leg 3-2 at Cuttack Club earlier on February 22. The victory in the second leg made the Bhubaneswar side richer by Rs 8,000. Cue Sport Academy president Premanshu Sekhar Pattnayak gave away the trophy and cash prize at the closing ceremony. School boy Ashutosh Padhy (Bhubaneswar) beat Chirag Arora (Cuttack) in a single-frame under-18 exhibition match, which followed the second leg of the Challenger Series.
